Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you so much for your interest in the El Centro de Ayuda Volunteer Program! Please see below for details regarding the requirements for volunteering and descriptions of the many different opportunities available to get involved.

HOW YOU COULD HELP AS AN EL CENTRO DE AYUDA VOLUNTEER:

Administrative Volunteer or Intern (Age: 15+): Provide administrative support to our staff by assisting with clerical work, seasonal projects and other administrative task. Gain great experience and insight into the non-profit world. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed and hours are also flexible.

Tutoring Volunteer (Age: 15+): ECDA is looking for volunteers to help provide guidance, knowledge and general support for student in after school programs at our center. Volunteers must be available from 3:30pm-5:00pm, we ask that you commit to coming in at least 1 time per week for 10 weeks.

VITA Volunteers (Age: 17+): Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program volunteers are active, challenge-driven individuals, who want to impact their community while developing their professional skills. Our volunteers help with translation, appointments, intake and tax preparation. Training for tax preparation is provided by El Centro de Ayuda.

Special Event Volunteer Outreach (Age: 15+): We are looking for volunteers who are able to assist us with promoting ECDA services in the community. This involves setting up and manning booths and tables to bring awareness to our programs and increase access by the community.
