Client Profiles: Ms. Lopez

 
The Lopez family was referred to LAUSD's PSA counselor Diana Diaz for an Academic Assessment. Ms. Diaz Learned his mother of three children ages 6, 11, and 15 have been navigating the impacts of domestic violence and was refereed to case management fro additional support with legal assistance, housing assistance, mental health services and college corner resources.

Since the initial assessment Mom has received individual counseling, pro-bono legal representation with Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice fro divorce/child custody and is applying to affordable housing with her case manager. Her two oldest children are engaged in the college corner Monday-Thursday receiving homework assistance and continuing to do well in school. Mom is hoping by early next year they will have a place to call home.
